Labuan Financial License

1. Labuan Forex / Money Broking License.
The money broking business is defined as the business of arranging transactions between buyers and sellers in the money or foreign exchange markets with brokers acting as an intermediary earning brokerage fees / commission. Labuan Forex Money Broking license, however, does not include the buying or selling of Malaysian Ringgit and foreign currencies by the broker as principal in such markets.

2. Labuan Securities License:
A Labuan securities license is meant for any individual who is offering valuable advice in the field of investment or administrative services about securities for investment and dealing in securities

3. Labuan Fund Manager License:
Labuan Fund Manager is a person, for valuable consideration, provides management services which may include investment advice or administrative services in respect of securities for the purposes of investment, including dealing in securities

4. Labuan Private & Public Fund License.

5. Labuan Credit Token License:
A credit token business is defined as any business where a token, being a cheque, card, voucher, stamp, booklet, coupon, form or other document or thing is given or issued to a person (referred to as “customer”) by the person carrying on the business (referred to as “issuer”), whereby such issuer undertakes that:

  • on the production of the token, whether some other action is also required, the issuer will supply cash, goods, or services on credit; or
    where, on the production of the token to a third party, whether any other action is also required, the third-party supplies cash, goods or services, the issuer will pay the third party for them, whether deducting any discount or commission, in return for payment to be made thereafter to the issuer by the customer.
  • And for the purposes of this definition, the use of a token to operate a machine provided by the issuer or by a third party shall be regarded as the production of the token to the person providing the machine.
